Last Post is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the service, and we never sell your data to third parties.

2. What data we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. This is used to identify you within the app and to link you with your designated person and contacts.
Contact details
You provide the names, email addresses, and optionally phone numbers of people you wish to be notified. This information is stored securely and used solely to send notifications on your behalf when the time comes.
Legacy information
Information you choose to record — such as funeral wishes, important documents, digital assets, and life history — is stored securely in your account. It is shared only with your designated person, and only when you have explicitly granted them access.
Designated person
The name, email address, and optionally phone number of your designated person is stored so that we can send them an invitation and, when needed, allow them to trigger notifications on your behalf.
Liveness check data
If you use the liveness check feature, the app records when you last responded. This is used solely to determine whether a wellness check should be sent to your designated person.
3. How we use your data
- To operate the Last Post service and send notifications as instructed
- To send invitation and confirmation emails to your contacts and designated person
- To allow your designated person to access information you have chosen to share with them
- To perform wellness checks if you have enabled that feature
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics sold to third parties, or any purpose beyond delivering the Last Post service.
4. Third-party services
Last Post uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication (supabase.com)
- Resend — email delivery service (resend.com)
- Twilio — SMS delivery for contacts with phone numbers only (twilio.com)
Each of these providers processes data only as necessary to deliver their service. They are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection law.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in a secure cloud database provided by Supabase, with row-level security enforced so that only you and those you have authorised can access your records. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
6. Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at lastposthelp@gmail.com.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at lastposthelp@gmail.com.
8. Children
Last Post is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated via the app or by email. Continued use of Last Post after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
